Sounds of the Dolomites Week !
A seven-day tour across Val di Fassa, one of the most beautiful valley of Trentino, accompanied by the music of Italian and international musicians. This is the most relevant newness characterizing the 20th edition of "Sounds of the Dolomites". Not only a concert per week, but three music events will take place from 6th to 13th July.
Fabrizio Bosso and Luciano Biondini will start off the festival on Tuesday 8th July afternoon in the enchanting Val San Nicolò, right in the shade of Col Ombert. The trumpet-accordion duet will melt together jazz and folk music, giving rise to extremely rare timbre combinations. Malga Canvere, in Paneveggio Natural Park, will then host the concert of Cristiano De Andrè, who took part in Sanremo 2014. On Thursday 10th July at 2.00 p.m. the Pale di San Martino together with the Lagorai tops and Alpe di Lusia will magically inspire the Italian singer and songwriter, who will perform a revisited semi-acoustic version of his and of his father's Fabrizio repertoire. An early waking up is required in order to assist to the so called "Alba delle Dolomiti" (Sunrise of the Dolomites). Saturday 12th July Dino Saluzzi trio will wait and greet with his music the crack of dawn at Col Margherita. The undisputed master of bandoneòn will bring to an altitude of 2.500 m all the fascination of Latin America, of Argentinian tango and milonga. Dino Saluzzi is a composer, popular musician and great improviser and will play together with his brother Felix (clarinet and saxophone) and with the violoncellist Anja Lechner.
